All about the Features and Benefits

-Made from wrap fabric

Every Lenny Wrap Strap Meh Dai is a wrap conversion, which means it is made of the same high-quality fabrics used for manufacturing wraps.

-Reversible - either side can face out!

Your Wrap Strap Meh Dai is reversible! In patterns with reversed colors, it's like getting 2 carriers in one.

-Extra-long straps

There are a few reasons that extra-long straps are helpful. They make this a great option for plus-size caregivers. This carrier will fit almost any size. See the images below for specific lengths. Please feel free to contact us for a larger carrier.

They are also great for fancy finishes of many styles, including pairing with small and/or medium sling rings for even more options - available here

-Front, back, and hip carry options

This gives you all of the versatility that you need to carry your baby comfortably. You can wear your baby in any way that you need for both you and your baby to be comfortable.

You can even use your Wrap Strap Meh Dai to torso carry, which is a no-shoulder option. You can use it as a waist-less carrier, and it even has high-back carry options too!

-Modification option for smaller babies

Our Wrap Strap Meh Dais can be used earlier than other carriers. Because the shoulder straps are made of a wide wrap fabric, the position of the baby is stabilized on the sides, similar to a full wrap.

Wrap strap meh dais are amazingly flexible carriers, but sometimes they are just a little too big for babies. For those comfortable with simple modifications, you may be able to wear your newborn or small baby a little sooner!

Watch below to learn how to modify your wrap strap meh dai to fit a newborn or small baby.

-Apron waist option

An apron-style carrier allows for less pressure on the waist. It also allows for a more custom fit for you. Many petite parents appreciate the apron-waist option.

-Sewn-in, adjustable hood

The hood is there to provide extra support/comfort for your babe. When your babe is awake, there are loops to attach the hood and keep it out of the way, but when your baby falls asleep, use the hood to cover their head for support.

-Compatible with suck pads (available here)

A great way to protect your carrier from the little ones that want to chew on everything!

Protect your carrier with suck pads & reach straps (available here).

At Mama & Roo’s safety is our first priority, which is why we make sure all of the carriers that we sell have been tested and meet the requirements of American and European manufacturing standards. Our carriers are also certified by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. We pride ourselves on sourcing carriers made with safe, tested materials that meet strict international safety standards. As babywearing educators, we only carry carriers that we feel are easy for the average parent to use safely without extensive instruction, as we know many caregivers do not have access to these in-person supports. That being said, we provide virtual support for all our customers, so you can feel confident you are using your carrier safely.

My favorite carrier

This is the best carrier I have ever used. We have used it comfortably since 3.5 months and are still going strong at 12+ months. I love how customizable it is. I am able to get a perfect fit every time. I purchased it because it looked less intimidating than a woven and I couldn’t be happier.

Nice material overall disappointed with design

Not sure this carrier is a good fit for my son. The carrier is more restrictive than my other carriers (boba, happy baby, wild bird and solly). He struggles to turn his head to look at things and get his arms out. I’m sure I have to get better at the wrapping but the restriction will remain as an issue as it’s the carriers design. I was hoping this style would distribute the weight across my upper body which it kind of does. The straps also slip and need to be readjusted regularly. Not thrilled with the tie waistband I think a buckle design is more useful especially when moving baby to a back carry. Overall just disappointed with the amount of money I spent on what I got.

Hi Janice,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. As you've seen, this carrier is significantly different from the other carriers you've tried. This wrap strap meh dai is a woven fabric, not a knit, so it does require tightening in a different way. The straps provide additional support and customization, and make the carrier safe to use for much longer than a knit carrier. But, it can take some practice!

Here are a few articles/videos I think may help you:

-How to modify for a small baby:

-How to tie the carrier waist-less (which also shows how to get baby on your back, at least one variation =) ):

-How to get baby on your back in a wrap (not exactly the same, but may give you some ideas):

Regarding slipping, this is a more glidey fabric. Our basic lines have less texture, which makes them lighter and thinner, but also allows for more slipping. With practice it is less of a concern as you get used to how the fabric moves =). But, you may also like adding sling rings to the straps, which will keep them more tightly in place. They are my preferred for thinner fabrics in this carrier style. I would recommend the small or medium size sling rings, available here: https://mama-roo.com/products/sling-rings?variant=32219668316230
