Such a very colorful item
Want to love the onbuhimo carrier but there's a lot of plastic buckles for size adjustments and couple on the side digs into my ribs. The chest buckle strap seems too high and crushes my breasts and there's no way to lower it. Wish the chest buckle came below the breast where it feels more secure.
It would also be nice if the instructions had information on how to adjust the size properly for different size babies rather than just how to put the baby on the back.
I'm hoping as my little one grows, we will be more comfortable.
This carrier takes a good bit of practice to get right! If you haven't already, I encourage you to watch our detailed video on how to use the carrier. It sounds to me like you may be tightening everything down really tight, which is a common mistake - this carrier you want to start baby as high as possible and rotate baby the rest of the way into place. It seems like you do that by tightening, but that doesn't necessarily help in this case =).

Detailed tutorial (highly recommend for what you're describing): https://youtu.be/KC-E4HxY6vE
The chest buckle can be lowered 2 ways - by sliding (it is stiff because the carrier is new, but it will slide!), and by rotating the carrier (which you will need to do to get a good fit). I do not think it will ever settle below the breast, but it will settle lower on the chest- maybe in line with the breast. This is a waist-less carrier, so it's designed for everything to be up high =).
I also highly encourage you to post some photos in our group for a fit check and we can help you more thoroughly there as well: facebook.com/groups/mamaandroos
This is definitely a style that takes practice. If you need more help, feel free to reach out. Thank you for your feedback.
This is a beautiful well made product. So far my son doesn't really like to be back carried in it, but perhaps when he's older and toddling about this'll be perfect.
This carrier is so cute and comfortable! I purchased an expensive osprey hiking backpack on Amazon and it just wasn't working for me so I returned it and ordered this one instead. I'm so glad I did. Its way more comfortable and easy to wear (not to mention, affordable.) Also, Alexandra responded quickly when there was a minor issue (the color I ordered was temporarily out of stock.) Overall, I am very happy with my purchase!
After a ton of trial and error my sister was feeling defeated because she could not find a carrier that was comfortable on her to carry her 18 month olds. I did some research and decided to purchase her the Mama @ Roo Onbuhimo carrier for toddlers because it looked like it was made to fit a women’s body, and she absolutely LOVES it! She has twin girls and both of them instantly took for her carrier and she is able to get it on and off work them in it with ease, and wear them on her front or back. She has sent me multiple pictures of her wearing it around the house with one of the girls in it, and is so grateful. I will be buying one soon for myself once my 3 month old is a little bit bigger. Thank you!
